2014 Year In Weddings!

This one gets me..for two reasons. It sneaks up on me seemingly out of nowhere, and it brings me to absolute tears. I remember moments, sounds and feelings from these wedding days like they were yesterday, and because they were all SO VERY INCREDIBLE!!! I can’t even begin to tell you the sheer joy and honor I feel being a part of these wedding days and the couples..you guys, this is it. I’m at the point in my career where I am booking good, genuine and kind couples consistently now! That sound kind of bold to say out loud? Anyone who’s been a business owner can vouch when we say..when you first start you take what you can get and you don’t always get a fit for you. Well, I’m there now and SO proud of it!! I love you ALL so much and thank you for being a part of this wonderful year!!

Additionally – this year was the year of some huge life transitions. I learned a LOT about life and business and on top of having a brand new baby, handling a toddler, speaking at conferences, traveling internationally the same week I had two other weddings in Virginia, moving to another STATE and uprooting our family and life to another demographic…well…in all honesty it was HARD. I’m one to take on challenges and not look back because I believe in GOING for it..but I felt like I was a little off my game this year. Thank you to the most understanding group of brides I could have ever asked for! Their weddings were blogged the week after their wedding as promised..but turn around time for the final images took longer than I wanted by a couple of weeks so THANK YOU SO MUCH for being understanding! You’re not even mothers yet but you always gave me the benefit of the doubt as I learned how to balance the transition from one-to-two babies! One of you even said “one day I’ll be in your shoes and want the same understanding” — you know who you are. Thank you for making me feel like a good mother and business owner even when I felt like I wasn’t living up to my self-assigned high standards! :)
