I’m not one to hide the truth about things. I really like throwing it all out there in the universe and having to see what the universe has to say back to me. Why not? I was completely and utterly terrified to not only buy this ticket but to meet someone who has been such a part of your life for years without ever having met them, through their willingness to share with the rest of the community via online. Life is short– take the leap. “PUSH the button” said my husband when it came to purchasing this ticket.
My first thought when I saw Jasmine was coming to DC was YEAH that’s driving distance. I could make it there. The second? Oh my GOSH that is the weekend of my one and only DC wedding! The third? I just wanna meet her. So bad. My business, my blogging, even my babies in my lap watching Shooting Star and Creative Live with J* … they have all grown together. Lame? Maybe to you, but I just adore her and there’s a reason so many people do. She’s a force to be reckoned with, a live out loud artist and a self-deprecating and down to earth gem I am lucky to now KNOW!
To answer the first question I’ve heard the most..YES, it was amazing..and more than I thought it would be. I would have settled for listening to her talk about one thing the whole day, because she’s a wealth of knowledge. She’s energy, she’s passion, she’s the job and she’s the human being behind it. Talk about true hustle, she’s done it. This never comes easy and she’ll be the first to tell you it’s what you put into it.
Doesn’t the job deserve to be that? If the equipment was cheaper, the booking was easier..would we appreciate it? Wouldn’t more people be doing it? The hustle is what makes the success that much sweeter. What I learned from Jasmine that day was that although I have had a great year and am comfortable with my booking– it can ALWAYS get better. I can ALWAYS improve. She pointed out so many things I knew in the back of my mind I should do but I don’t..and I need to throw so much into play now. It’s time to start hustling like crazy again– because that’s what business owners do. They make the dream happen for themselves..and after an incredibly busy May and June plus a move to a new state, with two VERY young children..I am ready to catch up and get back in the game and UP mine by a LOT.
I’m ready to be the force I can be. I’m ready to hustle, rock it out with blogging, social media, vendors, client experience.. the whole nine yards. Let’s do this! Thanks for the inspiration Jasmine and JD, the most wonderful and humble hosts and educators I could hope for!
Thank you to the collaborative team of vendors and the adorable real-couple model of the day, too!

And my Instagrams I’m forever cherishing! I just was so honored to be a part of this workshop and to have finally met you! XOXO
